What the calculator includes
It converts the weight to grams, applies the fineness you selected, then multiplies the fine-gold weight by your entered price per troy ounce. One troy ounce is about 31.103 grams.
The result is a metal-content estimate, not an appraisal or a promise of what a buyer will pay. It excludes stones, maker, age, workmanship, condition, fees and any collectible value. Weigh the gold-bearing parts accurately and verify the mark before relying on the calculation.
